Why did you choose to complete an Internship?

 In today's job market, employers rely heavily on resumes that have relevant work experience, and an internship is a perfect way to gain first-hand exposure and experience in the field. The main benefit of doing an internship is that it teaches us about our desired industries and companies that we want to work with. We also get to meet professionals in our field and gain insights from them with some of their personal skills and tactics. As a Master of Business graduate, I was having difficulties in gaining a full-time job in the marketing field without any practical experience and pursuing an internship was the right step to enter the profession.

What have you learned the most during your internship?

 One of the most important things I have learned during my internship is professional communication with co-workers and senior employees which is totally different from communication with professors or fellow students. Communication and networking are the keys to marketing with the fact that you should be aware of the tools and applications used in the industry. I have gained hands-on experience with the desired tools of digital marketing during my internship period which surely gave me confidence in operating them along with the professional exposure I needed to grow in my career.

What benefits do you feel AI contributed to your internship and time in Australia?

 I approached Australian Internships after three months of my graduation and their onboarding process was so fast that I landed my desired company and internship within two weeks’ time. I shared my desired field, internship duration and preferences with Australian Internships and they gave me related options within my first week. Throughout the onboarding process, AI has been great in communication with the company and me. Also, they have been keeping my track record with weekly learnings and relevant feedbacks.

What advice would you give future interns?

 Internships are an opportunity to gain field experience and build professional connections or even land a future job in the same company. My personal belief is that one should stay full of enthusiasm and work ethic while their internship duration. The best way to learn is by asking questions whether it is your colleague or a senior employee and having good communication with them. Rest, having an open mind and a positive attitude towards every task given will surely go a long way.

What do you enjoy most about Australia?

 There is a lot I enjoy about Australia from people to places. People have always been friendly and helpful. From beaches to mountains, a hike or a swim has always been the best part of the weekend with so many places to explore around. The adaption to technology at every step has amazed me since the day I have arrived. There is a lot more to explore here and enjoying every little thing has helped me a lot in this journey.
