Why did you choose to complete an internship?
I believe internships are the bridge that connects your education to profession. It integrates the theoretical knowledge obtained in school/university with practical application It gives an experience in the career field that you want to pursue and helps build a professional network. It can provide beginners like me with soft skills like communication, teamwork needed in the workplace. It also helps you know how organisations thrive and function in the real world.
What have you learned the most during your virtual internship?
Virtual Internships are more comfortable than going to the office. But it has a disadvantage of not being in the office and familiarizing with team members in person. I have learned to motivate myself, set my own time of hours and get connected with team members via a range of resources email, discord, teams. This will make you feel the presence of being in an office environment and gets you connected throughout the team.
