Why did you choose to complete an Internship?

First of all, thank you to the collaboration of Australian Internships and CQUni for providing me with an internship opportunity. The reason behind choosing an internship is very simple - I planned to prefer this business internship to make a strong profile by working in Australian culture and learn the dynamics of workplaces in Australia. Although I have worked in the past in different companies, the experience and culture here are different. I had this thing in my mind from the beginning that if I chose an internship and performed well here then I would be able to grab the opportunity and come out victorious!

What have you learned the most during your internship?

I have learned a lot during the 10 weeks’ time of expressing myself. The opportunity of working in the area of marketing and business development are the top acquired skills. Business development helped me to adapt agile marketing strategies and leadership skills along with operations management. Moreover, learning the technicalities of the services made me aware of the entire business. Also, I learned the significance of client communication which is the backbone of any business.

What benefits do you feel Australian Internships contributed to your internship?

Initially, matching the profiles to secure a suitable position was the best thing done by Australian Internships. Weekly Learning Plan made an impact to record my responsibilities and performances for every week. Feedback from the supervisor and timely communication throughout was great that contributed effectively to my internship and made it possible in the end to secure a role. Lastly, the certificate provided could make a great impact in the future.

What advice would you give future interns regarding virtual internships?

During the Covid-19 and post Covid-19 most of the companies prefer work from home and virtual meetings that are the new fit. My advice would be to learn as much as you can, show your dedication and apply whatever knowledge and skills you have. Even if you are doing virtual internships that are completely normal and try to adapt skills that way and bring the best out of you.

What do you enjoy most about Australia?

I love the environment and its peacefulness. The natural beauty of Australia is incomparable and people here are so kind and professional. Love everything about this beautiful country. I'm still exploring and I'm pretty sure that this country has more things to be amazed about. The thing I'm enjoying the most is the Australian lifestyle.
